Acerca de Hexagrama

Hexagrama started with six members as an a-capella group in August 2006, singing mainly repertoire from the Renaissance and New Spain. The ensamble chose its name inspired by the Mystic Hexagram of Blaise Pascal, a theory from Geometry and Mathematics that still keeps many stmart people awake at night.
In January 2008, Hexagrama shrunk to four steady members: Claudia Pichardo, Mercedes Escalante, Rodolfo San Agustín and Emiliano Gaviño. They started using recorders, guitar and percussiones and included some folksongs in their repertoire.
In November 2008, Hexagrama recorded its first demo-CD. You can listen to some tracks on MySpace.
In Summer 2009, Mercedes moved over to San Antonio, Texas, from where she still contributes to Hexagrama whenever it is possible.
This ensamle is a non professional group with high standards of discipline and quality.
